Medelita Product Review: The Meridian Scrub Top and Delta Scrub Pant

Medelita Product Review: The Meridian Scrub Top and Delta Scrub Pant

Majority of the world wakes up and heads out to work wearing business casual or business professional attire. On the other hand, as healthcare professionals our professional attire is scrubs, and just like anyone else you want to go to work looking and feeling good. I do not skimp when it comes to the scrubs I wear. Sick or not people still hold onto their first impressions of you, which may be one reason I am so picky about the scrubs I wear. Or, maybe it is because I am at work twelve hours a day and being comfortable simply puts me in a better spirit. I am roughly 130 lbs and 5'5". In Medelita scrubs I wear an XS in the top and S bottoms. The scrub top I received from Medelita was The Meridian Element Scrub Top and the Delta Element Scrub Pants. Now, I am a big reader of reviews whether from YELP, Google, or on company websites, so this here is my honest review of these scrubs from one healthcare professional to another. Lets start from the top and make our way down.

As much as I like to be cute, comfort is my TOP priority. There's nothing worse than working a 12 hour shift in scrubs that aren't comfortable or feel like sandpaper rubbing against your skin. These scrubs get an A+ in comfort. The material is a 2-way stretch fabric which allows me full range to reach, bend, pull, and push when needed. Also, the sleeves are shorter than on your typical scrubs to allow for more range of motion. My next priority is convenience. I cannot tell you how many times I have lost a pen or my report sheet due to lack of pocket space. This drives me crazy! Twelve hours is a long time to go without proper pocket space. This scrub top does have three side pockets and one hidden zipper pocket, but what it lacks is a chest pocket, which is usually my go to for my pens, lip balm, etc. Next up is style, this top has a scoop neckline, which usually I am not a fan of, but the scoop neckline gives this top an extremely professional look. I have actually come to love it, it is very chic!

Pants are usually my biggest problem area. For years I thought I was average height (5'5"), however continuously finding ill-fitting scrub pants proved otherwise. I'm not petite or tall, but for some reason I can never find the happy medium and I find my scrub pants to always be too baggy or too short. Surprisingly, the pants fit really well, nearly perfect. I found myself ordering this pant in an XS and immediately regretted it, these pants are pretty true to size. So here are the details! The pants are mid-rise and there are six pockets total, two are hidden zipper pockets just like the pockets found on the scrub top. My first concern, "Can it hold my bulky iphone 7 plus". The answer is YES! I have the most bulky phone case and my phone still fits in these pockets, that is a major plus.  So remember how I mentioned above that there was no chest pocket on the Meridian Scrub Top for me to place my pen, well the pants make up for this as they do have a pen slot/scissor loop on the side of the pants. Perfect!
